At Used Outboard Motors, we aim to make the delivery of your used outboard motor as simple, secure and reliable as possible. Because our products are large and heavy marine engines, delivery arrangements may vary depending on the engine, destination and transport requirements.

1. Delivery Areas

We primarily provide delivery services within the United Kingdom.

Delivery availability may vary depending on the product and destination.

Before placing an order, customers are welcome to contact us to confirm delivery availability and obtain a delivery quotation for their location.

For deliveries outside the UK, please contact us before ordering so that we can confirm whether international delivery can be arranged and provide the applicable transportation costs.

2. Delivery Address

Customers must provide a complete and accurate delivery address when placing an order.

Please ensure that your information includes, where applicable:

  • Full name or company name

  • House/building number

  • Street address

  • Town/city

  • County

  • Postcode

  • Contact telephone number

  • Any relevant delivery instructions

We cannot be held responsible for delays or additional costs resulting from incorrect or incomplete delivery information supplied by the customer.

3. Delivery Costs

Delivery charges depend on several factors, including:

  • Engine size and weight

  • Number of engines ordered

  • Delivery destination

  • Type of transport required

  • Delivery requirements

  • Current carrier or transport rates

Where delivery is not included in the advertised product price, the applicable delivery charge will be communicated before the order is dispatched.

For larger or specialised deliveries, please contact us for a personalised delivery quotation.

4. Delivery Times

Delivery times depend on the product, destination and transport arrangements.

We will provide an estimated delivery timeframe when your order is processed.

Estimated delivery times may be affected by:

  • Product availability

  • Transport scheduling

  • Courier or freight availability

  • Distance

  • Weather conditions

  • Road conditions

  • Public holidays

  • Unexpected transport delays

  • Other circumstances outside our reasonable control

Delivery dates are estimates unless we have expressly confirmed a specific delivery date in writing.

5. Processing Your Order

Before dispatch, we may need to confirm:

  • Payment has been received and cleared.

  • The delivery address is correct.

  • The product is available.

  • Appropriate transportation has been arranged.

  • Any special delivery requirements have been agreed.

Orders may not be dispatched until these requirements have been completed.

6. Large and Heavy Items

Outboard motors can be heavy and difficult to handle.

Depending on the engine and delivery location, delivery may require specialist transport or additional handling arrangements.

Customers should ensure that someone is available at the delivery address to receive the engine and that there is a suitable location for safe unloading.

Where special unloading equipment is required, customers should discuss this with us before delivery.

7. Delivery to Businesses

For business deliveries, customers should provide:

  • Correct company name

  • Full delivery address

  • Contact person

  • Telephone number

  • Opening/delivery hours

  • Any site access requirements

If a delivery vehicle cannot access the premises because of restricted access, unsuitable roads or other site-specific issues, additional delivery charges may apply.

8. Delivery Inspection

We strongly recommend inspecting your outboard motor and its packaging as soon as reasonably possible after delivery.

Please check for:

  • Visible transport damage

  • Missing components

  • Damaged packaging

  • Damage to controls, gauges, propellers or accessories

  • Any other obvious delivery-related issues

If you notice visible damage, please take clear photographs of the packaging and product and contact us promptly.

9. Damage During Transport

If an engine arrives visibly damaged, please:

  1. Photograph the packaging before removing it where possible.

  2. Photograph the damaged area of the engine.

  3. Keep the original packaging.

  4. Contact us as soon as possible.

  5. Provide photographs and relevant delivery information when requested.

We will assess the matter and, where appropriate, work with the carrier to resolve the issue.

Please do not arrange major repairs or modifications before contacting us regarding suspected transport damage.

10. Failed or Missed Delivery

If a delivery cannot be completed because nobody is available to receive the order, the carrier may:

  • Attempt delivery again;

  • Leave instructions for rearranging delivery; or

  • Return the item to the carrier’s depot.

Additional delivery or storage charges may apply where a failed delivery results from circumstances attributable to the customer.

We will communicate with you where we become aware of a delivery issue.

11. Tracking

Where tracking is available, we may provide tracking or delivery information once the order has been dispatched.

Tracking availability depends on the transport provider and delivery method used.

Please note that tracking information is provided by the carrier and may not update immediately.

12. Collection

Customers may be able to collect certain products directly from our premises where collection has been agreed in advance.

Collection address:

Used Outboard Motors
Unit H, Blaby Industrial Park

Please contact us before travelling to collect an engine to confirm that the product is ready and that collection arrangements have been agreed.

Customers collecting an outboard motor are responsible for ensuring they have an appropriate vehicle, securing equipment and any assistance required to transport the engine safely.

13. International Delivery

International delivery may be available for selected products.

If international delivery is requested, we will confirm:

  • Whether the product can be exported;

  • Available transportation options;

  • Delivery costs;

  • Estimated delivery timeframe;

  • Any relevant customs or import requirements.

Unless expressly agreed otherwise, the customer may be responsible for applicable customs duties, import taxes, clearance charges and other destination-country fees.

Customers are responsible for ensuring that the product can legally be imported into their destination country.

14. Delivery Delays

We will make reasonable efforts to ensure orders are delivered within the estimated timeframe provided.

However, delays may occur due to circumstances outside our reasonable control, including:

  • Severe weather

  • Road closures

  • Transport disruption

  • Carrier delays

  • Industrial action

  • Public holidays

  • Mechanical or vehicle failures

  • Customs delays

  • Government restrictions

  • Other unforeseen events

If we become aware of a significant delay, we will make reasonable efforts to provide an update.

15. Incorrect Delivery Information

If you provide an incorrect delivery address and the order has already been dispatched, you may be responsible for additional transportation or redelivery costs resulting from the incorrect information.

Please check your delivery details carefully before completing your order.

16. Delivery of Used Outboard Motors

All outboard motors are used products unless specifically stated otherwise on the relevant product page.

Customers should carefully review the product description before purchasing.

Product specifications such as engine hours, model year, shaft length, horsepower, condition and included accessories are provided based on the information available for the individual engine.

If you require clarification before purchasing, please contact us.

17. Installation After Delivery

Delivery does not normally include installation unless this has been expressly agreed in writing.

We recommend that your outboard motor is installed and commissioned by a suitably qualified marine professional.

The customer is responsible for ensuring that the engine is suitable for their boat and installation requirements.
